Goldie - Owner Rosie, Buckingham.
"Ulrike has been giving Goldie a remedial massage on a weekly basis for some time now. Goldie has been boxed for a considerable length of time due to a chronic ringbone condition. She is given gentle in-hand exercise but has suffered considerable muscle wastage on her off-fore shoulder because she couldn’t bear weight very easily. Goldie now has remedial shoes in front and allows all four of her feet to be picked up. I am delighted with her progress. Many, many thanks to Ulrike from us." |

Sidney - Owner Angela, Northampton.
"I was always under the impression that massage and manipulative treatment was more beneficial for horses in very hard work such as racing or regular competition. However, since witnessing Ulrike at work, and watching her treat my horse, I now believe the massage and McTimoney manipulation work has numerous benefits for the many horses, like my horse, which are not always competed regularly. Sidney is a 16 year old TBx ID gelding who I have owned for 5 years and Ulrike has been massaging him on a regular basis whenever I feel he needs it. He then has a manipulative treament every six months on top of that. Sidney really seems to enjoy his massage and I think that it benefits him psychologically as well as physically as he always becomes so relaxed during and after his massage, which I believe has a great benefit on his mental well being. I also think that regular massage and the McTimoney manipulation coupled with plenty of exercise has benefited him physically and is helping to keep him supple now he is becoming more mature.” |

“Massage is good for understanding the muscles and the effects that work has on those muscles. You need to keep the muscles toned and in top condition to allow the horse to open up to his work. He won’t be able to do this if he is sore and tense. This can be prevented through the use of massage.” |
